Terms and Conditions for Dog Activities

1.     Please ensure you arrive and leave promptly. Should you arrive early, please wait in the car (or by drive way if walking) until your time slot starts. Charges may apply if by leaving late, time is reduced for the next client.

2.     You are advised to visit the farm to check suitability for your dogs level of reactivity/recall for field hire. Whilst most of the fencing is in good order, it is traditional farm stock fencing of normal height. Please speak with us to decide the best field for off leash work.

3.     Clients booking for 1 hour plus may have access to the meadow field. Please note there is a public foot path that divides the main and meadow field. This is fully fenced off but please check before crossing if your dog is reactive.

4.    Gates must be left shut on passing/leaving the fields.

5. We are keen to attract wildlife such as birds, butterflies and bees. However, some wild plants can be harmful when ingested or touched. Avoid boundaries and keep to the paths provided in meadow fields for your safety.

6.    All dog waste must be collected and taken by the owners (this is due to waste licensing laws). Plas Issa has the right to refuse access to the farm if clients fail to remove dog waste.

7. To prevent injury to others and equipment, do not allow dogs to dig holes or leave large branches lying around in field areas.

8. When hiring the barn, please encourage your dogs to urinate before entering. Where accidents happen in the barn, please use the can provided to water down all urine and remove dog waste as above. Please discourage your dogs from spraying on equipment. Where this occurs, please spray with the product provided to reduce smell.

9. Please do not throw equipment on the floor after use. Rather, place them upright and in tidy order by the entrance. Ensre leave the barn clean and tidy after use, close the doors and switch off any electric. All breakages and damages must be paid for prior to departure (we discourage the use of large ball play due to damages).

10. We allow 10 minutes within your slot to load your car and leave the premises to reduce dog-dog interaction. Charges apply if you remain in the field/barn after your allocated time (20 min or 50 mins).

11.  Dogs must be fully vaccinated (to include kennel cough) and regularly treated for flea, tick and worm prevention. Please do not bring your dog to the farm if they are presenting any signs of being unwell.

12.  Under the Control of Dogs Act 1992, dogs must wear a collar and an identity tag and must be microchipped (NB. From March 2017, all dogs must be microchipped by law).

13. We cannot accept bitches when in season anywhere on the farm nor uncastrated dogs who have a strong mating drive.

14. We accept pre-bookings only. People arriving without prior booking will be turned away.

15. Areas around the front of the farm house are not open to visitors. Please respect our privacy.
